At Chilli Chilli, our mission is to ignite flavour adventures through passionately handcrafted, artisanal-quality products. We're committed to producing small-batch creations, ensuring each bite is a journey of exquisite taste and discovery. From sourcing the freshest ingredients to handcrafting each product with care, we are dedicated to quality and strive to deliver exceptional taste and satisfaction to you, our valued customers.

I have always been a Spice-Girl... and anyone who knows me is aware that my fridge is never without a jar (or three) of homemade chilli goodness. Crafting chilli relishes and sauces for friends and family has been a joy, with many suggesting I turn my hobby into a business. The opportunity presented itself during lockdown.

In early May 2020, a group of local chefs and restaurateurs in Hout Bay united to form The Bay Brigade. Together, they embarked on a mission to provide meals for families during lockdown. As Father’s Day 2020 approached, The Bay Brigade requested my delicious Pili-Pili Sauce for their Father’s Day Gift Boxes. With little time to spare, I had to quickly conjure a brand name, design a logo, print labels, source jars and bottles, and rush to the market (before curfew) for fresh chillies. It was a whirlwind experience, and just like that, Chilli Chilli was born. Nearly four years later, it's been an exhilarating journey, and most importantly, I'm still having fun and enjoying every moment.

As a home-based business, we take pride in personally handling every aspect of our production process, from cooking and bottling to labeling and packaging each jar with care. It's truly a labour of love. We specialise in small-batch sauces and relishes made with the freshest ingredients. Our products are vegetarian and vegan-friendly, free from added preservatives, stabilizers, colourants, and/or artificial additives. While we prioritise flavour, we embrace the natural variations in spice levels and colours that come with handcrafted condiments. That's the beauty of our craft - nature dictates, no two batches are exactly alike.
